Penn Museum has been carefully observing and treating a coffin containing the mummy, Nespekashuti with the help of a Nilfisk GM80 in their artifact lab. Handling the coffin and mummy take careful consideration due to its age and historical representation.
Removing settled dust from the interior of the coffin through the gentle use of “a soft brush and HEPA-filtered vacuum, and cosmetic sponges” helps continue the preservation of the coffin.
Nilfisk’s GM80 variable speed vacuum and museum kit with microtools comes in handy due to its portability and additional tool features.
